A WINNING READ
Having had the privilege to help many clients with
serious illness, we were interested to read The Journey
by Brandon Bays. This is a remarkable personal story
of not only conquering a serious illness, but many
of the other challenges that life inevitably presents
to us. Seeing these challenges as situations to overcome
and not as insurmountable problems gives us opportunities
to use the magnificent personal power with which each
of us has been blessed. Brandon Bays did just that.

WE’D LIKE TO SEE THAT
Since moving to the mid north coast of New South
Wales we have obviously experienced a climate which
is vastly different to that of down south. Here the
sun shines from a cloudless sky more often than not
and outdoor pursuits are aplenty. Being Melbourne
pale means that the slip, slop, slap
advice must be followed. Unfortunately, going out
on a hot sunny day with long sleeves and an umbrella
is considered a bit naff! But who cares!
Given that Australia has the highest rate of skin
cancer in the world, we’d like to see the pale-skinned
look become as fashionable here as it is in Asia where
staying out of the sun is de rigueur, and skin whitening
and lightening products are as popular as tanning
products are here. We’d like to see
that!
