CONSTRUCTIVE CARING

How many times have we heard that someone would like
to give us some Constructive Criticism?
Well in my book, there is no such thing!
So-called Constructive Criticism is criticism –
plain and simple, end of story.
If you think behind the intention of Constructive
Criticism, the giver of these pearls of wisdom is
very likely acting with the very best of intentions
and is probably only trying to help you improve your
skills.
What they obviously don’t understand is that
one of the biggest fears that a great many of us experience
is the Fear of Criticism. Because of this, their advice
will probably not get through.
I would prefer to call well-intentioned advice, Constructive
Caring.
In my clinical hypnotherapy practice I counsel people
every day and this is a really big issue.

will give a lot of heart to those of us who have not
fitted the academic mould which has favoured left
brain thinking in recent decades. If you feel you

THIS MONTH’S WIN
Getting back to nature. In the few months since relocating
to the Mid North Coast of NSW, Australia, we have
been blessed to have encountered more wild life in
our local area than we’ve seen in all our years
living in the big smoke.
On our list are dolphins, a turtle, water dragons,
all manner of bird life including beautiful rosellas,
kookaburras, butcher birds, sea eagles and wedge tail
eagles.
On several occasions we have been visited several
times by a wise owl and one night stumbled on two
scrub turkeys as we went for our beach walk! We’ve
also encountered a huge goanna and a wallaby!
Being close to the sea and the bush keeps us in harmony
with all things natural. It is so important to take
time out, get out of the rat race. Why not get into
the big outdoors today?
WE’D LIKE TO SEE THAT
More whole brain thinking and the development important
qualities such as empathy and understanding, so important
in our quest to practise Constructive Caring.
